Award-winning instrumentalist, composer and bandleader GEORGE BURTON is a teaching artist committed to promoting arts education and appreciation. George’s most recent work has garnered a NAACP Image Award nomination (2021, for Outstanding Jazz Album — Instrumental) and has been featured in the New York Times, NPR Music, the Washington Post, and others.

George’s former students have been accepted to some of the most prestigious conservatories and music programs, including Manhattan School of Music, San Francisco Conservatory, Bard College Conservatory, and Boston Conservatory.

George currently teaches private students of all ages, virtually and at his home studio in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, and performs in NYC and worldwide. [Learn more]
